City of Sanctuary Sheffield: Women Making Change
Advocacy and System Change Team, City of Sanctuary Sheffield

Developed collaboratively with the Women Making Change programme, the discussion explores the realities of navigating the asylum system, the importance of culturally safe spaces and the barriers women face in rebuilding confidence, independence and a sense of belonging.

The women reflect on advocacy, leadership, community and the knowledge held by those with lived experience. Their conversation affirms women seeking sanctuary as active participants in public life, contributing to communities and shaping futures grounded in dignity, participation and self-determination.

Hosted by Tchiyiwe Chihana for African Voices Platform.
