The collapse of the Dar es Salam landfill in Guinea’s capital conakry, has renewed concerns about waste management, environmental safety and the protection of communities living near landfill sites. The disaster which left 34 people dead and 26 critically injured was the subject of a recent edition of Inside the Continent, presented by Baillor Jalloh on African Voices Radio.
