UK-Based Farmers Forum | Zimbabwean & African Farmers Connecting the UK and Zimbabwe
Hosted at South Yorkshire’s Moyo Farms and organised in collaboration with Farm Life Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwe Farmers Forum, this event convened Zimbabwean and African farmers based in the UK and Zimbabwe to exchange knowledge, experience, and practical insights connected to farming back home and in the UK.
This UK-based farmers’ gathering brought together agripreneurs, land stewards, investors, and agricultural practitioners who are actively engaged in farming across borders — navigating the realities of building sustainable agricultural ventures while rooted in both the diaspora and the continent. Recorded for African Voices Platform TV, this episode captures grounded, practical conversations on:
• Diaspora-led farming and investment pathways
• Land access, tenure, and long-term stewardship
• Soil health, seed access, and good agricultural practice
• Knowledge transfer between global experience and local realities
• Farming as enterprise, heritage, and intergenerational responsibility
Through conversations with Yvonne Desha and Menford Tapudzai , the programme highlights how agriculture is being reimagined as a viable, values-driven business rooted in place, people, and purpose.
This episodes also concludes with insight from the Family Farm Day held at Moyo Farm earlier in September.
