Ogun State Police Commissioner Lanre Ogunlowo confirmed to ESPN that the accident resulted from a burst tyre on Joshua's vehicle, causing the driver to lose control and swerve into a stationary truck parked along the road.
Joshua appeared conscious but in pain in circulating social media videos, seated amid wreckage and broken glass before being helped from the vehicle. He was taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention, with early reports indicating only minor injuries. Two fatalities were reported, though further details on the victims remain pending the official police press release.
